Course Prospectus

‘E-Business’, short term ‘E-Biz’, stands for ‘Electronic Business’. ‘E-Business Management’ means managing business, supported by instruments - computers, telecommunication networks, systems - provided by ICT (Information and Communication Technology).
ICT evolution is creating continuous major changes in both Individuals lifestyle and Company operating processes. The Internet is the connecting tissue allowing three billion and a half people approx. to inter-communicate in real time, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and fulfill a plurality of requirements (information exchanges, services provision ……).
E-Business provides:
- usefulness to many concerns of individual people, i.e. health, finance, learning, work, culture, entertainment, research, ……;
- efficiency to the company processes, i.e. marketing, procurement, production, selling, control, …….
The course allows getting familiar with relevant E-Business models, to appreciate the amazing new opportunities for Individuals, Companies, Society.
Programma del corso
The learning path goes through nineteen Learning Objects (LO), gathered in three sessions:
- Session 1: E-Market framework - LO01 E-Market, LO02 E-Business Chain, LO03 E-Services, LO04 Social Media, LO05 Internet of Things;
- Session 2: E-Market Players - LO06 E-Company, LO07 E-Customer Relationship Management, LO08 E-Marketing, LO09 E-Supplier Relationship Management, LO10 E-Procurement, LO11 E-Business Chain Companies, LO12 E-Intermediaries, LO13. E-Government, LO14 E-Individuals;
- Session 3: E-Business features - LO15 E-Security, LO16 Data Security, LO17 Cloud Computing, LO18 E-Legislation, LO19 E-Society.
The learning material includes:
- 19 Learning Objects (MP4 files lasting 15’ ÷ 30’);
- 3 Forums (favoring the interaction among the course Community, Students and Lecturer);
- 3 Self-Assessments (multiple-choice forms).
